Espresso Martini
Serves: 1
Prep time: 5
Ingredients:
30ml Vodka
30ml Kahlua
45ml Espresso
45ml Sugar Syrup
Method:
Put all ingredients into the Boston shaker, fill with ice and shake for roughly 30 seconds. Double strain into an Coupe and place 3 coffee beans on top to garnish, serve and enjoy.
Optional:
Different coupes have different sizes, I use a 250ml but another common one is 150ml. If you have a smaller size glass you can drop your ingredients down to 30ml for each.
The Espresso Martini is a staple, every pub across Australia has it on their menu and for good reason. It has been voted Australia's favourite cocktail.
It sells well during winter and despite it being a bitter taste it holds steady over summer too. Over the year it has held its top position in my bar.
Another great recipe is the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. Very similar ingredients but adds a really nice twist to the classic cocktail.
